About the artist: Le Yack
Alexandre Pelletier, known artistically as Le Yack, is a French contemporary artist whose vibrant work bridges graphic design and urban art. After studying communication at ESAD in Orléans, he spent over 20 years as an artistic director in publishing and digital media before turning to street-inspired painting in 2020.
Le Yack’s art blends pop culture icons like Frida Kahlo and Uma Thurman with bold color and dynamic energy, using techniques such as spray paint, acrylics, and Posca markers. His work explores collective memory through playful, eclectic compositions rooted in street culture.
In 2018, he began creating black-and-white collages in public spaces, and in 2022, he held his first solo exhibition at Galerie de l’Empreinte Hôtel in Orléans. Le Yack’s evolving style resists categorization, aiming instead to connect with a broad audience. His philosophy embraces experimentation and accessibility—turning the street into a canvas for shared cultural experience.
